On Friday 8th April it was time for the long drive back to Atlanta. We planned a detour on the way to visit the Okefenokee Swamp, the famous home of Georgia's alligators, turtles, black bears and a vast array of plants, birds and other animals. It was good to be back in nature again and the girls had learnt about the Okefenokee at school so it was exciting to finally visit.

Those alligators are massive. How hot was it in the swamp?

It was 25 degrees... same as usual in Georgia! However, we had to cover up or use mosquito spray because there were plenty of biting bugs around! Comments are closed.
