The summer holidays have begun here and our first summer adventure has been an exciting trip to Canada. We flew to Alberta and spent a couple of days exploring the Badlands and Calgary, including The Royal Tyrrell Museum, followed by driving into the Rocky Mountains with a stop at Banff. From there we drove to Lake Louise and on through three more National Parks, to arrive at the Vancouver coast via Kamloops. It was quite an epic road trip, despite only covering two Canadian provinces, and made us appreciate how vast the country is. We then enjoyed a few days on the Sunshine Coast peninsular just north of Vancouver, where Susan's aunt and uncle live with their beautiful rare Alaskan Klee Kai dogs, before going into Vancouver to meet Susan's cousins who live there. We spent a weekend exploring the city before flying back south to Atlanta. It was a brilliant first adventure into Canada and we all agreed we'd definitely love to go back again.
