On Friday, Uncle Philip and Grandad (Susan's older brother and dad) arrived from the UK on their first visit to Georgia. On Saturday we all visited Fernbank Museum of Natural History and had a great time, especially as the museum was hosting a free science activities event which was fantastic for the girls. We also enjoyed Fernbank's newly opened outdoor nature area in the wonderful warm (20+ degrees) autumn weather. We ended the day with a grill and dinner out on our balcony, fun!
Yesterday was Halloween, which here in America means dressing up, having parties (even at school) going trick-or-treating and generally over-consuming sugary foods. The girls went trick or treating around our community for the first time, which was a success, due us asking the residents in advance to let us know if the girls could visit their houses. We were amazed again by the enthusiastic and generous responses from our neighbours!
